This Time of Year, I Slow Down

This time of year, I always slow down.

It’s Taurus season.

Earth.
Grounding.
Coming back into the body.

And for me, it always arrives right at the end of my busiest stretch—after months of shows, travel, selling, and being out in the world.

There’s a moment where it all just… stops.

Not abruptly.

But naturally.

I come home.

I unpack.

I reset the house.

I put everything back where it belongs.

And slowly, I can feel my body again.

There’s a kind of regrouping that happens here.

Not something I plan.

Something I trust.

This is the time I stop pushing.
The time I stop adding.
The time I come back to what’s real.

And every year, I find myself leaning into the same kind of magic.

Not big.
Not elaborate.

Just simple, grounded, sensory.

And for me, it almost always begins with water.

🌿 The bath I come back to

Not a “perfect ritual.”

Not something curated for a photo.

Just something that works.

I run the bath slowly.

I light a candle—something soft, nothing overpowering.

I let the room shift before I even step in.

And then I put music on.

Not background noise.

Something I can actually feel.

Something with texture.
With breath.
With a little edge to it.

Lately, it’s been Maggie Rogers.

🌿 The Taurus Bath Ritual Playlist

There is a moment, just after you step into the water,
when your body remembers something ancient.

Not productivity.
Not urgency.

But pleasure.

Taurus season invites us back into the senses—
into skin, into warmth, into the quiet luxury of being here.

For this ritual, I built a playlist anchored in Maggie Rogers—
an artist whose music feels like earth meeting emotion,
like breath moving through the body.

Her sound carries something elemental—
organic textures, heartbeat rhythms,
and a softness that lets you feel without forcing anything open.

This playlist is designed as a journey:

  • Arrival — to help you land

  • Softening — to release the day from your body

  • Opening — to let emotion move

  • Pleasure — to receive, fully

  • Integration — to stay… just a little longer

👉 Listen to the full playlist here:

Let the music guide the pace of your breath.
Let the water hold you.

And if nothing else—
let this be a moment where you remember:

You are allowed to feel good.

🕯️ How to use it

Press play as you begin to fill the bath.
Enter the water during the first few songs.

Stay through the full arc if you can.
No rushing. No skipping ahead.

Let the playlist be the container.

I add a handful of salt.

A drop of oil—something grounding like frankincense, myrrh, or cedar.

Sometimes a stone.

Something with weight. Something real.

Nothing excessive.

Just enough to feel like I’ve stepped into something different.

🌸 The feeling I’m creating

This time of year isn’t about doing more.

It’s about feeling more.

  • warmth

  • softness

  • presence

  • being in the body

Not fixing.
Not figuring everything out.

Just… being here.

I step in slowly.

Let my shoulders drop.

Let the day loosen its grip.

No phone.

No distraction.

Just:

water
heat
music
breath

And somewhere in the middle of it, I ask:

What do I want to feel when I leave this?

🌿 Earth, in its simplest form

There’s something about this season that pulls me toward the earth.

Not in a conceptual way.

In a real way.

Scent.
Texture.
Weight.
Sound.

This is when I reach for things like:

  • warm water

  • grounding oils

  • natural materials

  • pieces I don’t take off

Emerald is one of those for me.

It carries something steady.

Alive, but not rushed.

Grounded, but still growing.

If you’re drawn to that, you can explore one of my favorite pieces here:

Not as something you need.

But as something you might want to carry with you.

🌿 The shift in my work

This is also where my work changes.

The outward energy of shows quiets.

And I move back into building.

This season, that looks like:

  • developing the app

  • expanding Harmonic Resonance into travel and hospitality

  • growing PawStones and Motoring Stones into wholesale

It’s a different kind of movement.

Less visible.
More important.

And I’ve learned I can’t do that work well if I stay in the same pace.

I have to meet it differently.

🌸 A simple way to begin

You don’t need a full reset.

You don’t need a perfect ritual.

You don’t need more structure.

If you feel the pull to slow down, start here:

Run a bath.
Light a candle.
Put on something you can feel.
Add something grounding.

Stay longer than you normally would.

Let your body come back.

🌿 Closing

I don’t fight this part of the year anymore.

I let it do what it does.

I slow down.
I ground.
I come back to myself.

And from there—

everything I build feels different.
