The solstice has always felt powerful to me. Maybe because it is a turning point of light. Maybe because it is also my birthday. Maybe because some of the most meaningful inner shifts of my life have happened around this time. This is a reflection on what the June Solstice means to me, and a simple ceremony for listening to what wants to come more fully alive.

Ceremony does not have to begin with more time, more quiet, or a more perfect version of yourself. Often, it begins with one small act of attention: a hand on a stone, a breath before a meal, a candle at dusk. Arrival isn’t a location—it’s a threshold. Here’s the 5-minute ceremony I use when Kevin and I travel for trunk shows: shift the atmosphere, place one home anchor, offer water to the body, and seal the room with a simple blessing that helps you land.
