It was early morning in our Tucson studio—the kind of soft quiet where you can hear your own heartbeat. I was surrounded by trays of gemstones, and my hands kept drifting toward the raw crystals—the unpolished ones that still carried the pulse of the earth.

That moment echoed something I first felt listening to my favorite podcast, The Emerald.
